Managed services is the practice of outsourcing the responsibility for maintaining, and anticipating need for, a range of processes and functions, ostensibly for the purpose of improved operations and reduced budgetary expenditures through the reduction of directly-employed staff.
The managed services model is a type of business relationship in which a service provider takes on responsibility for the management and maintenance of a customer’s IT infrastructure and end-user systems. The managed service provider manages these systems remotely, using a combination of on-site and off-site staff.
